The Peggy Schneider Fellowship
Foundation for Independent LivingIndependent Living Services has established the Peggy Schneider Fellowship to recognize those who have given more than one hundred financial gifts of support to ILS. The Society is named after the founder of Independent Living Services. In 1970, Peggy saw a need in the community for people with disabilities to live independently within the community. Peggy served as executive director until her retirement in 2000. Her genuine love and compassion for those who touched her life, her willingness to make financial sacrifices to care for others and her faithfulness to the Independent Living Services mission. It is this long-term dedication that lead to our decision to name this group of loyal, dedicated donors in Peggy’s honor.
