Independent Living Services, Inc. has immediate openings for dedicated direct support professionals in Faulkner County.
Direct care staff provide training and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Staff work with individuals in areas such as community outings, communication, socialization, personal-care, mobility, money management, transportation and other activities that will increase the individual’s independence in the community.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or a GED, ability to relate to and work with persons with developmental disabilities, ability to read and write legibly; ability to maintain accurate records. Must have use of a car, have a current driver’s license and liability insurance.
Sensitivity to cultural/ethical differences and basic computer skills are required. Independent Living Services is a drug-free workplace. A drug test and background checks are required for all employees.
